JAIME FFRENCH wins fifth star
It’s surprising how long it took Jaime French to earn five stars. Every time we’ve seen him, starting last year’s season, he’s been outstanding. In this summer’s OT7 competition, he showed all his skills and showed full dominance. His performance as a route runner and reliable hands make him a plug-and-play prospect.
All eyes now turn to his Aug. 30 commitment, when he chooses between Miami, Texas, Tennessee and LSU.

Who will be the next five-star receiver?
Despite the addition of French, we still may not have enough five-star receivers. NFL draft trends tell us we should have around 5 players, but who will be in the 2025 draft?
There are several potential customers with cases. Alabama’s Caleb Cunningham, Oregon’s Dallas Wilson, Florida’s Vernell Brown and Georgia’s Talyn Taylor ) are within the scope of five-star consideration. Can anyone force us to help them after a strong senior season? This will be something we are watching closely.
This will be a major storyline throughout the season as every player potentially faces a monster season.

THE RISE OF DASAAHN BRAME
After a steady and impressive climb, DaSaahn Brame has jumped to 50th overall in the Rivals250 rankings. Seeing Tennessee commit multiple times in person this offseason, it’s easy to see why.
Brehm is an impressive athlete but runs and cuts like a much smaller player. He has an impressive wingspan and hands, making him an easy target for quarterbacks.
Despite Brehm’s performance, he still ranks third among tight ends, which shows how loaded the position is.

The tight end group will come together in 2025
I mentioned how loaded the tight end is, but it’s worth digging into. The top four prospects — Ellis Williams, Lincoln Kuhl, Dasahn Brahm and Keotie Armstrong — all fall into the category of “athletic weirdos.” It is very difficult for anyone to break into this group.
That doesn’t mean it’s not a deep group. It’s the year of the tight end, with Iowa’s (Thomas Meyer) and Notre Dame’s (James Flanigan) fighting to make the Rivals 250. Others like Nick Townsend, Brock Schott and Tae’Shaun Gelsey are committed to big projects and have bright futures.
Going forward, it will be interesting to see if anyone in the top 15 can stand out with a strong senior performance.
