West Ham United are close to agreeing a deal with Julen Lopetegui if David Moyes resigns as manager.
Lopetegui has been unemployed since leaving Wolves three days before the start of the 2023/24 season, but continues to live in England with a view to returning to Premier League management.
The 57-year-old, who has managed Porto, Spain, Real Madrid and Sevilla during his illustrious coaching career, could take charge at the London Stadium if Moyes leaves.

talking sky sports news In an interview with journalist Danyar Khan in December last year, Lopetegui explained why he felt he still had unfinished business in the Premier League and revealed that he met with the PFA, LMA and PGMOL during the break to prepare for his return. “That’s why I said no to a different country and a different situation, because I wanted to stay in England. I feel like our team has just started and we want to realize our dream,” Lopetegui said at the time.
