It’s a new week, which may bring you a sense of excitement and possibility, or it may bring you a sense of fear and overwhelming responsibility. Sometimes it’s both for me.
Not just because I have a lot to do, but because like most of us, I have a lot going on in my head and heart at all times. In a busy world, it’s not always easy to be a feeling person who doesn’t slow down when it all feels like too much. This means that sometimes we need to stop.
Don’t do it. Stop pushing yourself. Stop ignoring our needs. Stop running away from our feelings. Don’t expect more of ourselves than you do of the people we love. Start listening to that inner voice that knows what’s best for us so we can feel and be our best.
No matter how you feel today, no matter what you are dealing with, no matter what happened this weekend, no matter what the next few days will bring, take a few minutes to set the intention to take care of yourself and let this information be your guide.
