Rob Cross withstood Luke Humphries’ nine-dart to claim a thrilling 8-6 victory in Sunday’s final in Kiel to claim the NEO.bet Baltic Open Tournament champion.
Both players scored 5 180s each and averaged over 104. The quality of the game was very high.
World champion Humphries fired a brilliant nine-dart in front of a wild crowd at Wunderino Arena to lead Cross 5-3 and look set to win a seventh European Tour title.
But Cross responded strongly, winning four of the next five events before scoring 100 points to claim his second career European Tour victory and a £30,000 bonus.
