Spring Transfer Report Card: SEC | Big 12 | Big Ten | ACC
1. Julian Saine, Ohio State University
It’s true that no one expected Saine to be a starter at Ohio State as a true freshman.Coaches see he’s not a traditional transfer as he’s a 2024 draft pick with a few weeks at Alabama Nick Saban Surprisingly, he retired and then joined the Buckeyes, who had a crazy quarterback room.

2. Cameron Ward, Miami
Ward turned down the NFL and first-round quarterbacks in the 2025 draft in favor of a weaker quarterback, then transferred to Miami from Washington State for one more season.
Ward, who began his career at Incarnate Word before transferring to the Cougars, threw for nearly 7,000 yards and 48 touchdowns and rushed for 13 scores in his past two seasons in Pullman.
The Hurricanes lost six of their last nine games last season, and Ward is definitely a key player the Hurricanes need.

The five-star quarterback was a freshman at UCLA, but his performance was inconsistent and poorly handled by his former coach Chip KellyMoore completed his freshman season with a 53.5% pass completion rate for 1,610 yards, 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

5. Riley Leonard, Notre Dame
Can Leonard return to his 2022 form, when he threw for 2,967 yards, 20 touchdowns and six interceptions, or will he prove to be a one-hit wonder? That’s the question the former Duke quarterback faced when he took over the Notre Dame offense. If Leonard can’t fit the offense in some way, C.J. Carr will be waiting on the wing, so it could be an interesting situation to watch Notre Dame’s offense play this season.

6. Dillon Gabriel, Oregon
Gabriel found great success at the University of Central Florida and Oklahoma State, and now he’s looking for another blockbuster season at Oregon State. Oregon State has a lot of young receiving talent for Gabriel, so he should put up great numbers again.
