Fox News repeated a question posed to Republican Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) by a Democratic strategist, wondering why Republicans would defend former President Donald Trump’s romance with a porn star.

Fox: One Democratic strategist said, “Why are they all out there, defending his romance with a porn star.” Is that what you did?
JD VANCE: No, not at all. I mean, listen, I’m here to support my friends. pic.twitter.com/nGmi4Xy4Rx

Vance also said he and many others “like what he stands for.”
FOX: One Democratic strategist said, you know, “Why are they all defending his romance with a porn star?” Is that what you’re doing?
JD Vance: No, not at all. I mean, look, aside from the political implications of this trial, I’m here to support a friend, and we’re going to do that. I think it’s a very depressing way to spend five or six weeks of your life when you know you’re innocent, just like Donald Trump knows he’s innocent, so you know, recognize It gets a little lonely sitting there sometimes. I offered to come in and maybe, you know, just be nice in court. This is what I want to do. I think that’s what you’re seeing, a lot of people want to come and show their support for the president. Because they actually like what he stands for. They thought the trial was sad and they wanted to show some support to their friends, which I think is a good thing and an admirable thing to do. This is certainly what I want to do.
Vance’s answer wasn’t tough, so if Republicans are going to fan the flames over this, they need to make some changes quickly. One question is, if JD Vance was supporting a “friend” on trial for 34 counts of falsifying business records to cover up an affair with a porn star, why should taxpayers fund his time?
Donald Trump is now a convicted rapist who has been credibly accused of sexual misconduct by at least 26 women dating back to the 1970s . He bragged about this himself on the Access Hollywood tapes – which, by the way, were recorded in September 2005, just a few months after he married Melania Trump in January of that year back.
In March 2006, Melania gave birth to their only child, Barron. In June 2006, Playboy model Karen McDougal claimed that her affair with Trump began and lasted for several months. In July 2006, Trump allegedly had an affair with Stormy Daniels.
Just yesterday, Michael Cohen testified in court that Donald Trump isn’t worried about what Melania will think if she finds out about him because (paraphrasing) “he won’t be in the market for long.”
So political parties that claim to be fervently “Christian” simply cannot condone abortion even if it saves the life of the mother, or abortion due to incest or rape – even though the Bible doesn’t actually speak directly about abortion – They had no problem with the actual situation, making numerous references to the sin of adultery in the Bible.
Here are a few examples of what the Bible says about adultery:
Exodus 20:14: “You shall not commit adultery.
Hebrews 13:4: “Marriage is to be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.”
how about this?
Deuteronomy 22:22: “If anyone is caught committing adultery with another man’s wife, both the man and the woman who committed adultery with the woman shall be put to death. In this way you will purge evil from Israel.
The Bible is very clear about adultery, yet these Christian Republicans are content with fornicating with porn stars and Playboy models.
But these Christian Republicans are upset about one thing that is not mentioned at all in the Bible. This thing, the thing that’s not mentioned, is that Christian Republicans are putting the lives of women and girls at risk because they feel so strongly about it.
Here they are, led by Speaker Mike Johnson (whose son has to monitor his pornography), who believes God has chosen him for this moment:
The common thread is that in both cases these “Christian” Republicans sided with men and against women. It’s a safe guess that they wouldn’t support a woman who cheated on her husband multiple times just weeks after the baby was born.
But here they are… just helping a “friend” – an excuse so lame it’s reminiscent of parents asking their kids if they would jump off a bridge because our friend jumped off a bridge. Are all these grown men so spineless? Don’t they have values beyond their own ambitions?
Let’s leave it to Fox News and ask a member of the Forced Birth Party why they support a man who had an affair with a porn star just weeks after his wife gave birth to her child. Women voters deserve to hear the answer to this question because it goes to the heart of how Republicans view women.
