The recruiting world got perhaps the biggest news of the 2025 cycle so far on Thursday night when five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore decommitted to LSU.
The Duncanville, Texas standout has been with the Tigers since July 2023.
Moore’s campaign has three programs remaining: Texas, Oregon and Ohio State.
As the summer visiting period approaches, Rivals ranks the contenders.
1. Texas
As things stand right now, Texas is the best choice for first place. Moore has visited Longhorn many times, making it an easy trip for him and his family, just under a three-hour drive.texas crimes Steve Sarkisian Moore’s speed and natural playmaking ability suit him perfectly. Texas was also able to sell production and development at the wide receiver position, as well as trusted future prospects in the quarterback room, including former No. 1 overall prospect Archie Manning. Outside of football, the Longhorns also present a very small advantage that Moore will certainly be able to take advantage of. Moore will take an official visit to Austin, Texas, in June.

2.Oregon
As it stands, I think the Oregon Ducks are the second choice. Oregon State has very similar strengths to Texas, including extensive receiver production and development, deep quarterback future, and proven NIL strength. The Ducks will roll out the red carpet for Moore in June for what is expected to be his last official visit. During that visit, Moore was sure to hear about the top-notch services the Ducks had to offer in every aspect. Not only with Dan Lanning and little adams, Oregon State Has One of the Top Recruiting Agencies in the Nation Rashad samplewho is the son of Duncanville head coach Reginald Samples.

3. Ohio State University
Ohio State is ranked third, but certainly not a distant third. When it comes to wide receivers, the Buckeyes excel in both recruiting and development. Ohio State will be rolling out a stable of elite wide receivers over the next few years, giving them room for a deep quarterback. Ohio State has hosted Moore before, and he will return to Columbus for an official visit later this month.Offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Brian Hartline is a master at recruiting for the position and visited with Hartline for several days, and Ryan Day could easily help them move up the list of contenders.
