Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett went on CNN to explain why Marjorie Taylor Greene’s attack on her was racist and MAGA’s racism.

Congressman Crockett said when CNN’s Jake Tapper asked her to explain why she thought Greene’s comments were racist, “I thought she was doing it specifically to me. Yes, that was the intention.” As has been said, you know, women wear makeup, we wear eyelashes, we wear all kinds of things to beautify ourselves, but MAGA has been doing what they say on social media, oh, she’s black, she has eyelashes, Nails and hair. So to me it’s her taking that statement and trying to amplify it for the MAGA crowd so yeah I definitely think she’s doing it just to racially profile me. discriminate.
“Because it’s pointed at you, or because it’s an eyelash,” Tapper asked. “So in that sense, in your opinion, it’s kind of like accepting a racist trope?”
Rep. Crockett responded: “That’s accepting racism. But the reality is, women of all colors wear eyelashes, right?

I love the way Jake Tapper poses these questions. Tapper is not black, nor is he a woman, so he has no idea what racism against black women looks like. He stated from the beginning of the interview that he wanted to understand her perspective.
The key point Rep. Crockett makes is an issue that is almost never discussed in cable news, and that is racism, which is at the heart of MAGA. Trump’s MAGA movement is based on racism. This has been the case since the day the former president walked down the escalator at Trump Tower and gave a speech calling Mexicans murderers and rapists.
MAGA is built on racism and Marjorie Taylor Greene is fueling that racism, more Democrats need to follow Rep. Crockett’s lead and Speak up in the media when you have the chance.
