The comments from the legendary singer and actress, whose career in Hollywood and Broadway spans more than five decades, seemed unexpected but immediately drew criticism and fact-checking.
Critics pointed out that Clinton publicly questioned the results of the election she lost to former President Trump.
“There is a general feeling that this election [in 2016] Clinton said in an October 2020 interview with The Ticket, The Atlantic’s political podcast. “We still don’t know exactly what happened.”
