Trump’s defense witness Robert Costello turned red and gasped with continued objections, so the judge cleared the courtroom and reprimanded Costello.

Full exchange: “You’re not going to say ‘Ouch,’ and you’re not going to say ‘Hit it,’ because I’m the only one who can… Don’t roll your eyes, do you understand? Do you understand?” Got it? Let me leave the court now!

MSNBC legal analyst Kristy Greenberg wrote:
Much respect to Michael Cohen. Bob Costello acts like a clown. Jurors will note that this would hurt Trump. Any concerns the jurors had about Cohen were now overshadowed by Costello’s disrespect for the judge in front of them. Go crazy. Costello is a lawyer. To disrespect a judge in this way is a complete disgrace.
This has been said many times during this trial, but it is true. Costello is performing for an audience. He’s putting on a show for Donald Trump. His actions could also cost him the jury’s favor and bring Trump closer to a conviction.
Trump has no witnesses who can come forward to tell the truth for the former president. The testimony Costello gave seemed untrue, which is why prosecutors objected.
Costello may win points with Trump, but his disrespect for the judge and rebuke has done serious damage to the former president’s case.
