A former producer of “The Apprentice” confirmed that the NBC show contained tapes of Trump making racist and sexist comments.

Former “Apprentice” producer Bill Pruitt wrote in Slate:
Without question, the hardest decision we faced in post-production was how to edit the footage involving Trump together. We need his voice to be sharp, solemn, and clear, that he’s looking for something, not like he’s yelling at people. What you see of him today: Loud and stoic as he reads from a teleprompter. Go to one of his rallies and he acts like an impromptu rambler, driving his followers into a frenzy. While filming, he struggled to convey even the most basic content. But as he grew more comfortable with the shoot, Trump made some raucous comments that he found funny or amusing — some of which were misogynistic and racist. We have removed these comments. Go to one of his rallies today and you’ll hear a lot of this.

So, we were lied to. We were lied to. No one heard the racist or misogynistic comments, saw the alleged deceit, the bravado, or his hair blowing in the wind. I became convinced that these tapes would never be found.
As we now know, Trump’s image is a lie. Donald Trump is a hoax created by reality TV. He’s not rich, smart, or even good at television. There’s a reason Trump has become increasingly obsessed with his teleprompter. His interviews and impromptu rallies have disappeared. When Trump posts footage on social media, it is heavily recorded and edited.
Trump has aged, and the tendencies the former “Apprentice” producer described will only become more dominant in his speeches.
Donald Trump cannot form coherent thoughts. The former president still thinks of himself as a great salesman and communicator, but he never was.
Trump has always been a liar. Millions of people still believed the scam, and because the con man was for sale, special interests and hostile foreign governments poured money into him in hopes of gaining control of U.S. policy.
Yes, the long-rumored Apprentice tape of Trump making racist and sexist remarks does exist, but the former president was more successful at hiding reality show evidence than he was at criminally hiding the Stormy Daniels incident.
The message here is that nothing has changed. Donald Trump has been a dangerous liar, and voters would be foolish to expect anything to change in 2024.
