A 13-year-old child died Tuesday after being found unresponsive in a pool at Discovery Cove theme park in Orlando, Florida, police said.
Anna Beaumont, 13, was pronounced dead at the hospital on Wednesday.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed deputies were called to the popular all-inclusive resort at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday following reports of an unresponsive teen.
She was found in one of the many swimming pools at Discovery Cove theme park and was immediately taken to a hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

The Sheriff’s Office confirmed Wednesday that Beaumont died at the hospital following the incident.

The 13-year-old boy died due to accidental drowning, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Orange County deputies said they are still actively investigating the incident.

Visitors to Discovery Cove, the sister park to SeaWorld Orlando and Wetland Orlando, can swim with dolphins and snorkel with thousands of tropical fish in a tropical setting, according to its website.
