Artist Legacy Group (ALG) has been named the official representative of the estate of rap legend Earl Simmons, better known by his stage name DMX.
The announcement was made by ALG CEO Ashley Austin Wednesday (May 29) marks an important step in protecting and promoting the late rapper’s legacy.

Earl Simmons was born in 1970 and is an American rap idol who became famous in the 1990s. ALG said he is known for his raw and emotional delivery style and “brutally honest” lyrics.
His debut album, It’s dark and hell is hot (1998), which made him a star. He is the only rapper to have five consecutive No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart and has sold millions of records worldwide. DMX is an American Music Award and Billboard Music Award winner and a four-time Grammy Award nominee.
ALG said DMX’s music often explores themes of faith, redemption and personal struggle, drawing inspiration from his own life experiences.
In addition to music, DMX is also an actor, starring in films including abdomen (1998) and Romeo must die (2000). DMX passed away in April 2021 at the age of 50 due to a heart attack. ALG said fans and music lovers around the world can look forward to new projects in partnership with the DMX Foundation.
