Rep. Corey Mills (R-Fla.) called on the Republican National Committee to move the convention date to early July so that President Donald Trump can secure the nomination on July 4, after New York Communist Party judge Juan Mo Chang is scheduled to be sentenced on July 11.
Rep. Mills floated the idea Friday on Maria Bartiromo’s morning show.
Maria Bartiromo: “What are they afraid of? Why are they so afraid of Trump?
Rep. Corey Mills: “Well, because they know he can win, he’s going to take back the presidency, he’s going to change the deep state corruption. He knows the deep state police state, like when they tried to hire 87,000 armed IRS agents, they were trying to increase power and trying to violate our constitutional rights and freedoms…the rest of the left and the rest of the deep state knows he has house to clean…
……I think so. I think we as Republicans, first of all, just to poke them in the eye, we should move forward with our Republican conference and elect President Trump as our nominee on the 4th of July. We know they’re trying to prevent him from attending actual Republican rallies, so we should continue to pay attention to that. But we have to start stepping up, Maria…
… I’m just tired of this whole thing of having another hearing. I’m going to beat the horse here, but there’s going to be one more hearing, one more piece of evidence, another this, another that. We have to start taking responsibility, we can’t continue to sit back and say, ‘Oh, well, we’re the actual parties in the legal role. We are a process party.
Look, we have enough to keep going. We need to investigate. We need to follow the money and find the facts. That’s what this is all about. We have to make sure something like this never happens again because the precedent set by the left is that no one is safe and you are guilty until proven innocent instead of the other way around which they can continue to do with kangaroo courts and third party banana republics, You are only guilty because we say you are guilty as a politician.
Maria Bartiromo: I’ve seen this elsewhere and I just wanted to reiterate what you just said. Are you saying you’re proposing moving the Republican National Convention to July 4th instead of July 15th? Is this what you just said?
Rep. Corey Mills: “That’s exactly what I said. If they’re going to have sentencing on the 11th, and I know that’s going to hinder him, I say we bring President Trump, we move it, we elect him for us on July 4th, Independence Day nominees and then we start moving forward and I think it’s a symbolic measure that I think tells them exactly where we are in America.
This is great advice from Rep. Mills.
Republicans must take action. No more weak word games.

Republican lawmakers have a good idea: The RNC should nominate Trump on July 4
