Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.) was furious on Sunday for raising “outside” money to unseat Democrat Jamal Bowman.
Bowman’s challenger, George Latimer, has raised more than $14 million in outside funding in his fight for New York’s 16th Congressional District.
Meanwhile, Jamaal Bowman raised just $1.9 million in outside funding during this year’s Democratic primary.

Jamaal Bowman, who represents New York’s 16th District, which includes parts of the Bronx, was knifed after he was accused of sounding a fire alarm during a key House vote.
Recall that last September, hours before the shutdown, as Democrats unsuccessfully tried to send the House into recess and went home, insurrectionist Jamaal Bowman was caught on camera after sounding the fire alarm at the Cannon Building Photographed.
Bowman tore down an emergency exit sign before sounding the fire alarm in an attempt to stop a crucial vote.

Jamal Bowman has been criminally charged by the Washington, D.C., attorney general for sounding the fire alarm at the U.S. Capitol.
AOC attacked the First Amendment and complained about George Latimer’s fundraising, calling it a “threat to American democracy.”

“People everywhere need to understand how disgusting and perverse it is that special interests are dumping nearly $15 million in a primary election to unseat a member of Congress,” AOC said.
“This is corruption. This is a core threat to American democracy. It also adds fuel to Trump’s fire,” AOC added. “Support Jamal Bowman.”
