How did you get started in real estate?
My mother was a real estate agent and eventually started her own agency. I grew up going to open houses and learning the ropes from her.
She taught me how to run a brokerage and how to be successful in the industry. When I turned 18, I knew I would follow in her footsteps, and it wasn’t long before I got my real estate license.
What are some things you know now that you wish you knew when you started?
The only constant in real estate is change.
Tell us about a high point in your brokerage career
A high point in my career was REAL New York’s 10th anniversary, which we just surpassed at the end of 2023. Since our founding, we have generated $1 billion in sales and helped more than 100,000 New Yorkers find housing.
Today, REAL New York is a full-service brokerage providing residential services (including leasing and sales), new development sales and marketing expertise, and commercial leasing throughout the New York City boroughs. To achieve this goal, we need to work hard day after day. And there are no days off!
What makes a good leader?
Leaders with high emotional intelligence can communicate effectively with others and understand their perspectives.
