After Walmart was nearly unable to land a noteworthy robot vacuum deal on Walmart+ Week, we’re hoping Amazon will have an even harder time landing a robot vacuum deal on Prime Day.
However, we are in good hands. Overall, Amazon is already the best place to buy a robot vacuum any time of year, whether it’s a shopping holiday or a Tuesday in September when your current corded vacuum is killing you. Despite abandoning plans to buy iRobot, Amazon remains the top retailer for Roomba sales, slashing Roomba prices by 25% to 50% throughout the year. With Prime Day approaching, we’ll be launching these Roomba to new all-time low prices — ideally, the Roomba Combo j9+ will drop to under $800, and the Combo j5+ will drop to under $400.

We also hope that Prime Day will set all-time low prices for other high-end robot vacuum cleaners released at CES 2024 in January. In particular, it would be great to get a first-time discount on the Eufy X10 Pro Omni for under $650 or a Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra — we’ve tested both of them and liked them.

Eufy’s X9 Pro debuts in fall 2023, slotting between the X8 Pro (which doesn’t mop the floor) and the X10 Pro Omni (MSRP $799.99). In June alone, it’s already had a couple of groundbreaking price cuts: Its current discount code, X9PROEUFY, boosts the discount to 50%, surpassing the discount exclusive to Prime members in mid-June.

The X9 Pro is more reminiscent of its successor than its predecessor: It has a flat edge to get into corners, it can mop, wash and dry its own mopping pads, and uses artificial intelligence to detect and avoid Open telephone lines and other small obstacles. As a mop, the X9 Pro offers more elbow lubrication than many competitors thanks to dual pressurized rotating mop heads. If carpets are detected, they will automatically rise above the floor.
