Actor Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt has filed a petition in a Los Angeles court asking that Pitt be removed from her name.
The daughter of Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took legal action on May 27, her 18th birthday, to become Shiloh Jolie.
Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in September 2016, but the details of the separation have not been finalized and a settlement agreement has not yet been reached.
The couple are also currently embroiled in a legal dispute over the French Chateau Miraval they purchased together.
Shiloh is the third of the former couple’s six children, but isn’t the first of her siblings to seek to ditch the Pete name.
Earlier this year, her 15-year-old sister Vivienne had her father’s last name dropped from the credits of the Broadway production of “The Outsider.”

However, Shiloh, who serves as a voice actress in the animated film “Kung Fu Panda 3,” is the first of the siblings to formally file for a legal name change.
The legal request comes amid progress in the divorce dispute between Jolie and Pitt, who married in August 2014.
Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, and the two began a custody battle that resulted in Pitt being Grant joint custody 2021.
The two actors also filed lawsuits against each other.
Disagreement between the two men included property disputes and disputes over joint business ventures, including the Miraval Castle.
In February 2022, Pitt sued Jolie and her company Nouvel, accusing it of selling her shares in the winery without his consent.
