    Men’s Olympic Soccer Semifinals: France vs. Egypt, 3 p.m. ET

    France are currently favorites to win the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, but you have to imagine that in the quarter-finals they beat their nearest rivals in the sport, Argentina. There were some effects both physically and mentally.

    Women’s Hockey Quarterfinals: Belgium vs. Spain, 2 p.m. ET

    I’m not too keen on betting; rooting for the sake of not being offensive can be soul-destroying, but I have a good feeling about it.

    Belgium should win, but Spain’s defense in this game is excellent and they have conceded only seven goals in five games so far. That includes a disappointing three-game final round-robin loss to Australia, but I expect them to bounce back here and maybe lose 2-0 or 2-1.
