Anita Dunn, who serves as an adviser to Biden’s 2024 presidential campaign, was asked in an interview with MSNBC about the possibility of him dropping out of the race.
Dunn downplayed the significance of Biden’s poor debate, saying it was only 90 minutes for the campaign and the administration. She suggested he wouldn’t quit and the campaign was moving on to other things.
She seemed unaware of the Democratic panic unfolding around her.

Anita Dunn: Biden team focused on ‘what do we do next’ after lackluster debate
Biden administration adviser Anita Dunn said President Biden is focused on what’s next after a poor performance in this week’s debates.
Dunn appeared on MSNBC’s “Weekend” on Saturday to continue the Biden campaign’s efforts to calm post-debate panic.
“The debate is a moment in the campaign,” she said. “The reality is, I think voters may experience this debate a little differently than some insiders.”
She added, “The conversation we had was, ‘Okay, what do we do next?'”
Dunn said the campaign is looking at ongoing research and key issues important to voters.
“So, I think, as you often see after these debates, what you’re going to see is not a huge change,” Dunn said. “The president will continue to be there and he can make the case for why Donald Trump is a threat to this country and why America has a better bath ahead.”

“The campaign lasted 90 minutes… Maybe it wasn’t a great debate, but he was a great president… I think she has a question about what’s really important to voters.” pic.twitter.com/sDgQbiuxrZ— Alex Thompson (@AlexThomp) June 29, 2024
Despite calls from The New York Times for Biden to drop out of the race, Dunn seems quite confident.
