As the world commemorates the 80th anniversary of D-Day, the Biden campaign has released a new video calling Trump an unqualified draft evader.
Watch the Biden video:
The veterinarians say in the video:
Marine Corps Veteran Curtis Register: A good commander is one who dares to devote himself. My name is Curtis Lester. I served in the United States Marine Corps.
Veteran Ed McCabe: My name is Ed McCabe. I served from the 1990s to 2014.
Navy veteran Matthew McLaughlin: My name is Matthew McLaughlin. I was a Navy pilot for eight years.
Marine Corps Veteran Curtis Register: This was my first time shaking hands with the President of the United States. It was very impactful for me to see a man not only supporting the troops on the battlefield, but also supporting the troops when we got home.
Navy veteran Matthew McLaughlin: I see in Joe Biden a man who accepts responsibility and responsibility, and when I saw his predecessor, Donald Trump, I saw a man who lived only for himself—
Veteran Ed McCabe: -He criticizes veterans who he believes are not important to him attending funerals.
Navy veteran Matthew McLaughlin: Donald Trump has zero responsibility in his life.
Veteran Ed McCabe: He was a draft evader. It’s that simple.
Marine Corps Veteran Curtis Register: I think elections are the difference between authoritarianism and democracy. I have come to meet a president who cares about preserving democracy.
Veteran Ed McCabe: Donald Trump is unfit to be Commander-in-Chief. He is not suitable to lead a team. And he is absolutely unfit to be President of the United States.
Trump and his party are trying to pretend that the two candidates are equal in this election, but that is not the case. Biden has demonstrated through his words and actions his care and concern for our military and our democracy. Donald Trump thinks those who serve are fools and losers and can’t seem to understand why anyone would put the interests of the country above themselves.
Films like the one featuring veterans are examples of the Biden campaign doing the groundwork to reach key groups of voters. Donald Trump doesn’t do this kind of job. In fact, he barely participated in the campaign. Trump will appear at a town hall in Arizona on Thursday and will hold a rally in Nevada on Sunday.
Sunday’s rally will be his first campaign event in weeks.
Those who have served their country are reminding voters who Trump is and what he truly stands for, and the American people would be wise to listen.
