Joe Biden and Democratic operative George Stephanopoulos spoke to ABC News on Friday.
A complete dumpster fire occurred during the interview.
“Are you still the same person you were when you took office three and a half years ago?” Stephanopoulos asked.
“In terms of success, yes,” Biden said. “I’m also the person who created the plan for peace in the Middle East, which may be about to come true. I’m also the person who expanded NATO. I’m also the person who grew the economy. All the personal things that are done are my ideas or my realization. I move on.
“Do you dispute that there have been more errors, especially in the past few months?” Stephanopoulos asked.
“Can I run 100-10? No.
Stephanopoulos pressed Biden, “Are you weaker?”
“No,” Biden said.

Stephanopoulos asked Biden if he had been honest about his mental state.
“Yes, I am, because, George, the last thing I want to do is not be able to make that happen,” Biden said. “I think, as some senior economists and senior foreign policy experts have said, if I stopped now, I would go down in history as a very successful president. No one thought I could accomplish what we’ve accomplished.
“If you were convinced that you couldn’t defeat Donald Trump, would you step down?” Stephanopoulos asked.
Biden said he would quit the race if God came and told him to quit.
“Depending on whether the Lord Almighty comes down and tells me, I might do that,” Biden said.
