President Biden issued a statement rebuking Donald Trump for claiming he had nothing to do with Plan 2025.

Biden said in a statement released by his campaign:
We can always count on Donald Trump for one thing: lying to the American people in his pursuit of power. We saw it on the debate stage when he set records. He has lied about the economy, his role in the January 6 uprising, and disrespecting our heroic service members.
Donald Trump has now lied again. He has tried to hide his ties to his allies’ extreme Project 2025 agenda. The only problem? It was written for him, by those closest to him. Plan 2025 should scare every American. It would give Trump unlimited power over our daily lives and allow him to use the presidency to exact “revenge” on his enemies, ban abortion nationwide and punish women who have abortions, and destroy the checks and balances that make America the greatest country in the world democracy on. This is extreme and dangerous.
Trump’s conservative Supreme Court has given him a blank check to do almost anything he wants with no regard for the rule of law. If he wins, there’s no doubt Trump will use it to pass his 2025 agenda. We must work together to defeat him.
Trump claimed on Friday that he was not part of Project 2025, even though the extremist agenda was developed by his current and former staff and his super PAC is running ads supporting it.
One of the many elements of Plan 2025 is the mass deportation of legal immigrants living in the United States. Replacing the civil service with Trump loyalists who would run government agencies, the president takes over the Justice Department and FBI, as well as passing a national abortion ban through presidential executive order.
Plan 2025 is very real, and if voters find out about it, it could be a very big problem for Trump and the Republican Party.
