The Biden campaign announced in a statement:
Today, the Biden-Harris team announced a $192 million war chest, the highest total of any Democratic candidate in history so far this cycle. The Biden-Harris team raised more than $51 million in April 2024, continuing the solid and historic work of the Biden-Harris team’s fundraising operations. The Biden-Harris team continues to have more support and war chests in April than any Democratic candidate in history at this point in the cycle.
While the Trump team focused almost entirely on maximizing billionaire donors early in the cycle rather than building a durable grassroots fundraising program, the Biden-Harris team’s April fundraising was largely driven by Driven by the continued strength and durability of our grassroots network. Most of April’s funding came from grassroots donors, with 1 million supporters joining our email list that month alone. The fundraising effort is fueling growing battleground state action and a historic paid media campaign focused on the voters who will decide this election.
The Bidens aren’t kidding when they talk about spending in awesome states:
– More than 150 coordinating offices.
– More than 500 coordination staff in battleground states and increased organizational presence in battleground states
The communities that will decide this election.
– A $14 million advertising campaign in May targeting voters in swing states,
Includes investments in African American and Hispanic media.
Keep in mind that while Biden is expanding his operations into swing states, Trump is cutting jobs and closing campaign offices in swing states because much of his fundraising will go toward paying attorneys and legal fees.
Polls may show a close presidential election, but Biden is actually building a clear advantage in attracting and voting.
History shows that close elections are won by organizing on the ground. Biden is raising money and organizing for Trump, and those results may show up when votes are counted on Election Day.
