Donald Trump broke down in Las Vegas as he tried to lie to escape confirmed reports that he called the military fools and losers.

Trump said:
He said, I stand on the graves of soldiers. I say, these people are fools, losers who think they are soldiers who died in the First World War. I said this was a concocted deal by a magazine that failed to financial disaster because of a horrible radical left-wing lunatic named Goldberg. They made up a story that I said and they put it out and that story has been floating around for three years, like a story made up by Russia, Russia, Russia, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, 51 intelligence operatives. Remember, the laptop comes from Russia. They say they should be prosecuted for what they did. OK? They should be professionals and let’s see what happens. But you can imagine them. Now they shoot a commercial and they know it’s fake, they know it’s fake. Now they filmed a commercial with it. These are sick people, and I want the military, I want the military to stand up at the polls and say we’re not going to take it.
They can say anything. They are a party of misinformation, disinformation, election fraud, open borders, high interest rates and high taxes. that’s all. You can’t get elected. So they make up stories, disinformation, stories like that. Think about it from a practical standpoint. I stood in the cemetery with the generals and the soldiers, and I looked at them and I said these people are fools and losers. Now think about it, unless you were a psycho, a lunatic, or a very stupid person, you would say that anyway. But who would say this to a military member of the military? Because as the president of the United States, I would say if I made a statement like this, if I had generals here, if I had generals, I would imagine most of them would end up in a major conflict with the president. OK? You know I would say, in this case, they made up a story, they just made it up out of thin air, and that’s fine.

Trump claimed that he had never called the military fools and losers, and he was confused by this. “I looked at them and I said these people are fools and losers. Now, think about it. Unless you are a psycho, a lunatic.” Or a very stupid person, otherwise who would say that. pic.twitter.com/Lgdgkg5ZSl

Trump’s former chief of staff confirms tale of fools and losers
Trump claimed the story was fabricated by Democrats in an attempt to rewrite history and facts. The story was first reported by The Atlantic. Trump’s former White House chief of staff John Kelly later confirmed this, telling CNN in a statement:
What can I add that hasn’t already been mentioned? One believed that those who wore uniforms to defend their country, or who were shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or who were tortured for years as prisoners of war, were “fools” because “it didn’t do them any good.” A man who doesn’t want to be seen in front of military amputees because “it doesn’t look good on me.” And ranted that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in defense of the United States were “losers” who would not visit the graves of France.
Trump’s meltdown was triggered by President Biden’s successful trip to France to commemorate the anniversary of D-Day, where the current president paid tribute to Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice for democracy. Donald Trump is trying to rewrite history and take back what he said.
Trump knows he can’t compete with Biden and the presidential stage, so he’s trying to do damage control and blame Democrats for his actions.
Most tellingly, when Trump breaks down, his crowd seems to stop listening to him and become distracted.
Trump’s damage control isn’t working even with his most loyal listeners, as he continues to display a disinterest in the future and an obsession with the past.
