After Trump’s disastrous inaugural address at the Republican National Committee, President Biden issued a statement that showed the president showed no signs of resigning.
President Biden said:
Last night, the American people saw the Donald Trump they rejected four years ago. For more than 90 minutes, he focused only on his own grievances, without any plan to unite us or make life better for working people. He avoids mentioning his Project 2025 agenda, but still proudly flaunts the worst aspects of MAGA extremism. The American knows exactly where he wants to take this country. They know he overturned Roe v. Wade and brought pain and cruelty to American women. They know he has destroyed our economy, caused pain to the middle class, and wants to undermine the checks and balances and dictatorship of our Constitution from day one.
Donald Trump’s dark vision of the future does not represent us as Americans. As a party and a country we can and will defeat him at the ballot box. I look forward to returning to the campaign trail next week to continue to expose the threats of Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda while demonstrating my own record and my vision for America: that we save our democracy, protect our rights and Be free and create opportunities for everyone.
The stakes are high and the choice is clear. Together we will win.
The past few days have made it clear that the movement to get rid of Biden comes from House Democrats, who Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said is coming under pressure from big-money donors.
The Democratic Party is not in the crisis that House Democrats are creating for other members of the party.
The actual situation is that the conference lasts about one month. Early voting will begin in two months. This conversation took place last year.
The reason House Democrats are doing this now is that the House will be in recess for much of the day, with a very loose schedule so that members can start campaigning in August. The timeline House Democrats are most concerned about isn’t one that’s good for the country or their party, but their desire to hold on to their seats and win back the majority.
There’s no indication in Biden’s statement that he plans to go anywhere, so it’s time for these coup plotters to give up and start thinking about getting back together with the rest of the Democratic Party to win in November.
