The body of a woman found in a baggage claim area at a Chicago airport is believed to have been a suicide, authorities said.
Virginia Christine Vinton, 57, was found “trapped” inside a baggage carousel machine at O’Hare International Airport on Thursday.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the medical examiner’s office determined the cause of death was asphyxiation by hanging and declared it a suicide.

The surveillance footage only captured her walking into the area, but did not show how she died, the Associated Press reported.
“She was trying to gain access at multiple locations,” a source told the Chicago Sun-Times. “They’re not sure what her motive was. She was trying to get to the secure side of the airport.”
Authorities now say Vinton died at the scene and are launching an investigation into the circumstances of her death
