WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark is “very excited” to meet New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge during her visit to the Bronx on Saturday.
But she was still surprised by the huge size of the man waiting for her.
Clark was the celebrity guest at the Yankees’ first doubleheader against the Texas Rangers.
She wore a custom Yankees home jersey with her name and No. 22 on it and had access to the ballpark, the Yankees clubhouse and the YES Network broadcast booth.

While Clark was on the air with Yankees broadcasters Michael Kaye and Paul O’Neal in the top of the third inning, she revealed her first experience meeting Judge up close, admitting he was the player she was most excited to meet.
“He was big. He was also bloated. Not only was he tall, but he was very single,” Clark said.
Judge’s 6-foot-7, 282-pound frame exceeded her expectations.

“He’s a lot bigger than people think,” Clark said. “You know he’s big, but when you stand next to him, you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, you could probably play football, pretty much any sport you want to play.'” He might also be good at basketball, but, yes Yeah, he’s a down to earth good guy… He’s twice my height.
However, the 6-foot, 152-pound Clark is not small.
Clark, 22, was selected No. 1 overall by the Indiana Fever in the 2024 WNBA draft after a storied career at Iowa State. As a Hawkeye, Clark broke the NCAA record for most points by a basketball player, male or female.

After being controversially left off the U.S. women’s Olympic basketball team, Clark had time to visit Yankee Stadium. However, she was named a WNBA All-Star as a rookie and was a strong contender for the league’s Rookie of the Year award.
Judge, 30, is in the midst of arguably the best season of his career. Judge, who leads all of baseball with 41 home runs, 105 RBIs and a 1.148 OPS, is expected to win his second American League MVP.
