Move to 9/11. Step aside Pearl Harbor. One of the truly darkest days in American history was the conviction of a former president for concealing an affair with an adult film actor.
There are many events in recent American history that were truly terrible and dark days for this country. I think of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, tens of thousands of Americans were dying every day. It was a dark day for the country with so many innocent lives lost, which makes the Trump campaign’s statement seem particularly callous and embarrassing.
The fact that Donald Trump is being held accountable for crimes no worse than 9/11 or Pearl Harbor, and the fact that the Trump campaign dared to file for a Class E felony conviction, 34 counts, shows that they and their ‘s supporters have absolutely no reason to touch reality.
