Democratic Sen. Chris Coons cried openly on national television as he discussed the news that President Joe Biden was abandoning his re-election bid.
Coons, who represents Delaware, couldn’t control his emotions Sunday afternoon while providing analysis for CBS News. This might be the funniest thing you’ve ever seen.
“He was rooted in his faith, his family and our state,” he said, looking away from the screen and blinking frequently to combat the coming flood.
“Excuse me. I’m sorry,” he continued, clearly fighting back tears, but he was losing the battle. “This is a very difficult decision. I think it reflects the best of Joe Biden.
As co-chairman of the Biden-Harris campaign, Coons has been one of the president’s staunchest allies.
But the tears seemed innocent. Being so close to the man meant he knew about Biden’s cognitive decline early on. But he has always supported his ability to govern for another four years?

Chris Coon isn’t the only one
The liberal meltdown wasn’t just because Sen. Chris Coons couldn’t control his tears. Next up was CNN’s Van Jones, who likened Biden’s announcement of dropping out to taking away the keys to your beloved grandpa.
“He’s fighting, he’s fighting, and everybody’s frustrated. And then you finally get the keys back. And then you cry,” he said.
“You just cry because this is someone you love, this is someone you care about,” Jones added. “This is someone who is always there for you. Without him, you wouldn’t be here.
What? To be honest, there are a lot of people Would be here without him. Let’s start with the 13 service members killed in Afghanistan. Then move on to all the Americans killed by illegal immigration or the fentanyl crisis.
Did Coons or Jones shed a tear for those people?

It’s long past time to get the keys.
Unfortunately for the country and the world, no effort was made to get the keys from Joe. He is running the country. Allegedly.
They were trying to get the keys to Nuclear Soccer, which by the way he was still in charge of. Biden simply dropped out of the campaign. He remains Commander-in-Chief.
Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki continued the panic on the left even as she struggled to remain calm.
When Donald Trump was nearly beheaded by a sniper a few days ago, none of these people shed a tear. Now they cry, not for America, but for the prospect of losing power.
