MNRK Music Group announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer Chris Taylor has resigned from the company, effective June 28, 2024.
MNRK said in a statement on Monday (June 3) that Taylor will be bringing the company’s artist management department with him.
Sean Stevenson, chief operating officer of MNRK Music Group, will take over leadership of MNRK upon Taylor’s exit.
Stevenson, who is based in New York City, will lead the company effective July 1, 2024.
The executive was appointed chief operating officer in July 2022.
Stevenson joins MNRK from FleishmanHillard, where he served as senior vice president, partner since 2015, overseeing their digital and social media practice.
During a 23-year career as a marketing and PR executive, Stevenson led strategy, concept development, digital and social media campaigns for brands including EMI, Universal, MTV, Warner Bros., Coca-Cola, Nike and Samsung.
MNRK Music Group was formerly known as eOne Music.
Hasbro sold its eOne music division to a Blackstone-controlled entity in early 2021 for $385 million and subsequently changed its name to MNRK (pronounced Monarch) in September 2021.
In February, Snoop Dogg acquired Death Row Records from MNRK Music Group.
Taylor joined the company in 2016 to manage eOne’s music division.
As a member of the eOne executive team, he contributed to the company’s overall strategy and its eventual sale to Hasbro for $4 billion in 2020. Changed its name to MNRK Music Group.
MNRK Music Group said its catalog across all divisions contains 54,000 music tracks, including multiple Grammy Award winners and platinum-selling hits.
