CNN’s Sara Murray warned the left that Trump could be acquitted in his New York trial, saying it was the “worst case scenario” for Democrats.
Is this just to soften the blow?
Murray noted that if the case fails, it could be the only case against Trump before the election.

A CNN reporter warned on Sunday that a jury acquitting former President Trump in a criminal trial in New York this week would be a “worst-case scenario” for Democrats.
“I think this is likely to be the only trial we have before Election Day. And this case is not a conviction case, which means Donald Trump will most likely not be convicted. For Democrats, acquittal It’s the worst-case scenario,” said CNN political correspondent Sara Murray.
Jurors will hear closing arguments on Tuesday in the criminal trial in which Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg charged Trump with 34 counts of first-degree falsification of business records…
“Donald Trump came out and said, ‘Joe Biden’s prosecutors,’ and that’s not true, ‘They went after me, his Department of Justice went after me, and they still didn’t convict me. I’m still innocent. Yes,” Murray continued. “I also think you can end up in this sludgy middle where you end up with a hung jury, a jury that can’t reach a verdict. And then it really leaves it up to the voters to decide.
