CNN’s John King had some very bad news for Democrats this week, suggesting a landslide victory for Trump in November.
King noted that using a projected map of the country and narrowing down the Electoral College votes, Trump could win by well over 300 votes based on CNN’s current projections.
He rightly suggested that Trump could flip Democratic strongholds like Virginia and New Mexico.
Transcript from Real Clear Politics:
If Donald Trump wins, we’re going to have deep red states here, solidly Republican. Light red states lean Republican. If he had won only those, he would have received 270 votes. See the difference. We have Wisconsin, which is a tough call. Pennsylvania is a tough place to choose. Two key states for Joe Biden. Michigan is now another key state for Biden and leans Republican. Georgia, a state Biden flipped, leans Republican. Arizona, a swing state. This is the situation that Biden has reversed. Nevada, a Republican-leaning state he won. This is the dire dilemma facing Joe Biden on the first night of the Republican National Convention. There are still 16 weeks until Election Day. Sixteen weeks from tomorrow we will be counting the votes. Changing a map like this over such a long period of time is difficult.
That’s why Democrats are so worried. Why are so many Democrats saying, Mr. President, please reconsider and get out of this race. Because right now, Trump is in the lead on this. Trump leads here – leads here. While the margin is narrow, he leads in those states. Trump leads the way here. That’s 312 electoral votes. Trump leads in Nebraska’s congressional district. Let me change it like this. Nebraska is organized by congressional district. That’s 313 electoral votes.
Democrats warn Trump may not be far ahead. There may still be a margin of error. This could be a draw. But now, Trump is very competitive here. That’s blue Virginia. That’s blue New Hampshire.
So the warning to the White House is that if current campaign dynamics continue, Donald Trump could get 330 or more electoral votes.

If even CNN is saying this, you know they’re rattled in the Biden White House.
