America’s media is broken beyond repair. We all know this because we see them day in and day out, and we know they are Democratic activists first and journalists second.
Kurt Schlichter is City Hall’s senior columnist. In a recent column, he offered a series of advice for Trump and dealing with the media.
In short, Schlichter said time is short and some people in the media should be excluded from the conversation.
From Schlichter’s column:
The erotic spasm of regime media over the New York kangaroo Kurt’s conviction—and the liberal media’s backlash—reaffirmed the new information reality. Conservatives must understand that this is not the same media environment that most of us older Republicans grew up in. Not just a few basic cable news channels. It’s not just the Washington Post and the New York Times. The world is full of new and different sources that mock the old-school zeitgeist gatekeepers…
Republicans, even Donald Trump, used to regularly go on CBS or NBC, or give interviews to the New York Times, and then collectively grumble when their sincerity was struck where the sun doesn’t shine. No idea. But these are leather shops, shells of famous media icons from the past. These entities are now active enemies. They weren’t just skeptical. They are not just people who disagree with us. They are certainly not objective, neutral truth-tellers whose only goal is to enlighten the masses. They want to positively influence the public, but they also want the respect that objective journalists deserve.
Regime media must be avoided. Cut it out, freeze it, kick it out. They will not be called. None of them spoke. They were ignored. Starve them to death…
A strong, offensive, conservative media strategy is not a luxury. it’s necessary. Regime media has become fully weaponized against us, and we must not only suppress it but actively defeat it.
Schlichter is right about all this. If Trump wins a second term, he shouldn’t waste time arguing with activists at NBC News or the New York Times. There is not a second to waste and these outlets are not worthy of attention anyway.
