The Joe Biden administration’s supply of U.S.-made long-range ATACMS missiles from hell to Kiev may not be the game-changer they were hoping for, but it does turn the Holy Trinity holiday into a bloody tragedy on the beaches of Crimea.
Russia immediately stated that the United States was responsible for the five missile attacks, which killed four people, including two children, and injured 151 others.
Reuters reports:
The Russian Defense Ministry said that four Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles equipped with cluster warheads delivered by the United States were shot down by air defense systems, and the ammunition of the fifth one exploded in mid-air.
Footage on Russian state television showed people running from the beach, some being taken away on deck chairs.

Just after noon, shrapnel fell on a beach on the north side of Sevastopol, where many people were enjoying their holidays. This incident naturally caused strong reactions from Russian public figures.
“this [Russian] The Defense Department said U.S. experts determined the missile’s flight coordinates based on information from U.S. spy satellites, meaning Washington was directly responsible.
“Responsibility for the deliberate missile attack against civilians in Sevastopol lies primarily with Washington and the Kiev regime, which supplied these weapons to Ukraine, and the attack was carried out on the territory of the Kiev regime,” the ministry said.
This shouldn’t happen.
Imagine if Russia used Russian satellites to launch cluster munitions on Florida beaches.

The current estimated death toll is four people and 144 injured. Specialists have been flown in from other parts of Russia.
The Russian Defense Ministry said Russia would respond to Sunday’s attack, but did not elaborate. The Kremlin said Putin had been “in contact with the military” since the attack.
While showering civilian beachgoers makes no sense militarily, Russia’s relentless missile and drone attacks on Ukraine’s power plants and energy grid do not.
Eight large-scale attacks occurred this weekend, leading to the largest blackout since the war began, and the situation is likely to worsen significantly.
The British “Guardian” reported:
“Ukrainians had to deal with widespread emergency power outages because Russia continues to attack critical infrastructure.
Moscow has stepped up attacks on Ukraine’s energy grid in recent months. Ukraine’s energy ministry said there was a “massive attack” on energy facilities on Friday night. One of the facilities was shelled, injuring several workers.

“Ukraine began implementing rolling blackouts on May 15, disconnecting entire areas of the capital from the grid to save energy.”
Zelensky took the opportunity to request the provision of Patriot air defense systems, accelerated training of F-16 pilots, and long-range weapons.
Political coverage:
“In recent months, Russia’s strategy has shifted from targeting substations, which Ukraine excels at quick repairs, to trying to raze entire power stations.
This destroyed a large portion of electricity generation in several regions of Ukraine, leaving the country – once a net exporter of electricity – dependent on the EU to maintain power. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently said Moscow had destroyed half of the country’s power generation capacity since it began cracking down on its energy facilities in late March.
