Following President Biden’s embarrassing and humiliating performance in the presidential debates, some Democrats are now publicly calling for him to drop out of the 2020 race.
Or stand aside. Or simply walk away and go somewhere else, anywhere but close to the camera.
What we see are important historical figures. Something not seen since 1968.
Democrats call for Biden to step down
After Biden’s horrific debate performance, the unbelievable happened.
CNN Team – CNN! ——All media outlets unanimously called for Biden to be replaced from the beginning. Heck, even Van Jones supported this before he “got the call” and started defending Biden.
I’ve heard – although I can’t say I’ve witnessed it because I’m not a masochist – that the same story is on MSNBC.
And then even the editorial board of The New York Times.
All of this is shocking in itself. But the call wasn’t over yet. Now even Democrats are joining the chorus.
Former Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan even wrote an op-ed for Newsweek calling on Biden to step down in favor of Kamala Harris.
Look, no one blamed Tim Ryan clever, Just be brave. In Ryan’s view, now is the time to “pass” the torch to a new generation – something he says Biden is uniquely positioned to do.
Frankly, he’s right. Biden is not new or old. By the time he became vice president, he was already old. In 2020 he is old. Sure, it’s a ploy and a shitty excuse, but you know it’s not going to be easy for Democrats to break ground.
Still, Ryan says it’s time to rip the Band-Aid off!

Current Congressman Lloyd Doggett joins call
Congressman Lloyd Doggett, who represents the far-left bastion of Austin, Texas, agreed with Ryan that Biden should withdraw.
Remember I mentioned 1968? Congressman Doggett feels the same way: “I represent the core of the congressional district once represented by Lyndon Johnson. He made the painful decision to withdraw under vastly different circumstances. President Biden should do the same .
Unlike Ryan, Doggett gave Biden a more solid reason for withdrawing:
- Biden trails Democrats in swing state polls
- Biden’s Debate Defeat
- Biden has promised a transition.
