Dr. Ben Carson has announced that he will meet with President Trump this weekend in Michigan.
“I’m looking forward to returning to my hometown this weekend with my friend and our next president, Donald Trump,” Carson wrote in a post on X.

Carson and Trump are scheduled to speak at Turning Point America’s “People’s Convention.”
According to Michigan Live:
Former President Donald Trump, who is running for re-election to the White House, will lead a series of high-profile conservative politicians who will speak at a conference in Michigan in June.
The People’s Convention is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, June 14-16, at the Huntington Convention Center in downtown Detroit.
Other speakers that weekend included Charlie Kirk, founder of the nonprofit Turning Point Initiative, which organized the conference; Vivek Ramaswamy, a 2024 Republican presidential candidate until suspending his campaign earlier this year; Dr. Ben Carson, 2016 Republican presidential candidate; Steve Bannon and Roger Stone are two political figures closely associated with Trump’s political rise Instigator; South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, a Republican who is considered a candidate to run with Trump for vice president.
Carson’s posting comes two weeks after the Trump campaign reviewed Carson as a potential vice presidential pick.
If elected vice president, Dr. Carson, who was born in Michigan, may bring more momentum to Trump in Michigan, a must-win swing state.
