Elon Musk has made scathing accusations against Democrats who oppose a new bill that would require proof of U.S. citizenship to vote in federal elections.
Musk expressed his opposition to the SAVE (Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility) Act introduced in the House of Representatives in May.

The bill, sponsored by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), is fairly short by Washington standards and has 104 co-sponsors.
“The SAVE Act will safeguard our elections by ensuring that only American citizens can vote in federal elections,” Johnson (R-Los Angeles) wrote.

X CEO Elon Musk has relentlessly lashed out at any legislator who opposes proof of citizenship in federal elections. It seems clear which party those opponents represent.
“Those who oppose it are traitors. All caps: TRAITOR,” he insisted. “What punishment will be given to traitors?”
Musk was responding to a report from left-wing outlet Axios that described how House Democratic leaders were preparing “bombshells” to oppose a bill that would require proof of citizenship to vote.
Because, of course, they’re going to fight it.
House Minority Whip Katherine Clark’s (D-MA) office said it urged Democrats to “vote no” on the bill, suggesting that providing proof of U.S. citizenship would place a “significant burden” on “countless” people.

Musk has been warning about this for some time
X CEO Elon Musk has repeatedly sounded the alarm about the 2024 presidential and congressional elections, insisting that if the Democratic Party “traitors” win in 2024, they will try to use newly legalized illegal immigrants to create a permanent ruling party.
Furthermore, he believes this would be a dangerous and unprecedented move that could undermine the foundations of American democracy. Illegal immigration has surged during Biden’s presidency.
“If the Democrats win the presidency, the House of Representatives and the Senate (with enough seats to overcome the obstruction),” he warned, “they will grant citizenship to all illegal immigrants and the United States will become a permanently one-party, deeply socialist country. .
Musk called for a red wave in the November elections, suggesting it was the only real way to save the country.
“Either there will be a red wave this November or America is doomed,” Musk wrote. “Imagine how much worse it will be in four years.”
