Capitol CMG, a unit of Universal Music Group, has promoted three company veterans to senior vice presidents.
Emily Dashiell Promoted to senior vice president of business cooperation; Jeff Gankel Named senior vice president of market development; and Carlos Monaco Capitol CMG has been promoted to senior vice president of finance, the company announced in a statement on Thursday (August 8).
Dashiell previously served as vice president of marketing and commercial partnerships. In his new role, Dashiell will be responsible for overseeing revenue strategy across the company’s entire product portfolio. She will also continue to focus on partner activation for digital service providers (DSPs) and guide record labels on global distribution, e-commerce/D2C, catalog marketing, streaming and playlist strategies.
In previous roles, Dashiell was instrumental in the commercial success of numerous Capitol CMG artists, including nuclear factor, Anne Wilson, Toby Mac, Chris Tomlin, Hillsong United and Blessings Oferthe company said.
Dashiell originally joined Capitol CMG in 2015 as Brand Manager, launching the company’s proprietary Curators brand, SOZO playlist.

Former Vice President of Market Development at Capitol CMG, takes on new role Jeff Gankel will oversee market development and digital rights, and Reply: Thought Recordwhich Gunkel helped relaunch in 2018.
Capitol CMG said Re:Think “will continue to fulfill its mission of partnering with artists and labels to grow audiences and increase listener engagement while retaining ownership in the hands of the artists.”
Gunkel joined the company in 2004 and held key positions for the first 14 years CICC Publishing.

Previously served as Vice President of Finance, Carlos MonacoThe new senior vice president of finance position will involve oversight of financial planning and analysis, royalty accounting and IT.
Monaco recently celebrated the 18th anniversary of Capitol CMG. Prior to joining the company, he held finance and accounting positions at: walt disney company, NBCUniversal and EMI Music.
