Former George W. Bush adviser Karl Rove is no friend of Trump, but even he criticized the Joe Biden campaign for having the unhinged actor with TDS, Robert De Niro, speak for them today.
De Niro ended up lashing out at his critics in the crowd, looking like a lunatic.

Karl Rove: Biden campaign made stupid mistake. … Even though all the cameras were there, they still wanted to capture their moment in the sun. This is a big mistake. It politicized the trial. Better to wait. And then, with all due respect to Mr. De Niro, he is a very, very good actor… “Donald Trump wants to destroy New York, destroy America, destroy the world. If you re-elect him, he will never leave Ren. He will make himself a tyrant for life.
Do these credible statements lead to people who don’t like Biden and don’t like Trump but are trying to figure out who to vote for, do they lead to people saying, ‘Well, gosh, you tell me now what do you want? Destroy our country. Of course he did. People who believe this are already in the Biden camp. That’s not the person they should be trying to reach. He was close when talking about Jan. 6 and the two officers, but that could have had repercussions.
But this goes too far and is useless. What a stupid mistake the Biden campaign made. There are more reasons why Democratic leaders may be worried about his possible bid to become the party’s nominee.

Rove can be annoying, but the points he makes here are solid. It looks ridiculous for the Biden campaign to do this.
