Competitors nationwide recruiting analysts John Garcia Jr. with competitor country analysts Adam Friedman, Adam Gorney and Marshall Levenson Address the three topics and determine whether they think each statement is fact or novel.
More fact or fiction: Texas A&M is the team to beat for five-star Jonah Williams
1. Five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi is leaving Lone Star State to play college football.
Levenson: Novel. While there are some strong out-of-state programs in the hunt for Michael Fasusi, I’m leaning toward the idea of him staying in Texas.I like Texas A&M’s stance based on this relationship Mike Elko He established and instilled this culture in the college town. I think Oregon is the top five-star out-of-state option right now, but Texas A&M will be selling the idea of closeness to family, early minutes, and the advantage of a high zero percent interest rate, and that combination might be too much to pass up. Georgia, Oklahoma and Missouri are also in limbo, but I don’t think they’ve made enough progress yet before he plans to make a decision in just a few months.
GARCIA: Facts. In speaking with Fasusi (admittedly for the first time), he seemed open to the current process. Not only is Oregon State the current favorite beyond the state line, but the big man wore head-to-toe Ducks gear over the weekend, but he also admitted it Dan Lanning Running his program gives a different feel than some of the other competitors. More than anything, Fasusi said, the program’s practices reminded him of Lanning’s previous stop, Georgia, where he talked about traditional SEC football in the same way. Oklahoma State and Missouri State will take official visits, and the aforementioned Bulldogs will also have more opportunities in this tournament. LSU will also make its first impression later this month.

2. Luke Fahey is underrecruiting in the 2026 class.
Gorney: Facts. Although Luke Fahey had a stellar sophomore season, completing nearly 63 percent of his passes for 2,184 yards, 26 touchdowns and six picks, the standout quarterback in 2026 has been In a split game against another quarterback, his numbers were hampered a bit as a result. As I’ve seen multiple times with Mission Viejo, Fahey is a solid quarterback who is impressive in his ability to throw the ball down the field, but he also has the ability to throw the ball to elite receiver Vance Spafford Vance Spafford, Phillip Bell and others. Fahey saw his recruiting increase as he played for the Cal Power in the offseason, but it wasn’t nearly enough. We’ll be re-ranking the 2026 class in a few weeks, and it’s safe to say the Mission Viejo quarterback rankings will be moving north.
GARCIA: Facts. Fahey might have been the most impressive of the entire group in last weekend’s national roster of OT7 in Orlando — which is more than enough considering there are multiple blue-chip 2025 pass rushers on the field. He operates with ease and is able to distribute the football to all three levels without too much pressure, but he can also come off the platform and do it in unconventional ways. Fahey is also in great shape, which goes well with the California cool in his pocket. Florida State University and the University of Central Florida applied before the event, and Oregon State University has since joined. Many others should follow in this senior state champion’s footsteps.

3. Wide receiver Je’rel Bolder had a good enough offseason to pursue a fourth star.
Friedman: Facts. Jerrell Bold has had a great offseason so far. He won the wide receiver MVP award earlier this offseason after performing well in 7-on-7 situations. Rival Training Camp Series In Charlotte, he was one of the stars of last weekend’s OT7 event in Orlando. Boulder consistently displays smooth route running skills, explosive short-yardage speed and excellent hands. His physical tools aren’t overwhelming, but Boulder has the ability to take on defensive backs who overuse their hands. Even if Boulder isn’t the fastest rookie out wide, he should be a high-volume receiver for any team.
GARCIA: Facts. Twice in the last month, rising seniors have walked by me and asked “Who is that!?” I tell others it’s Je’rel Bolder. That means he’s expected to play plenty of games in training camp and in 7-on-7 situations, and provide strong metrics thereafter to push the rankings of any rookie working his way through national and regional competition. Everyone knows the ball is coming his way, and Boulder still finds a way to keep making plays after plays, winning downfield and at the point of catch, something few can do in OT7 events arrive. His dominance on Saturday, in particular, led to a phone call with an Ohio State assistant coach Brian Hartlineanother indicator, shows how trend gauges are pointing toward the Tar Heel State outlook.
