1. Ohio State now has a legitimate chance to land a commitment from David Sanders Jr. after taking an unofficial visit to Columbus last weekend.
Freeman: Facts
Ohio State isn’t going to sit back and let its most talented players in the country end up at other power programs, so it’s not a surprise that Sanders is back on campus for another unofficial visit before most games. Starting next month. Sanders really wanted to learn more about the coaching staff, scheme and environment in Columbus after spending time in spring training earlier this offseason.
Sanders explained to me how much of an impact this trip will have on the Buckeyes, who are clearly one of his top contenders and have serious staying power. Ohio State is expected to be his last official visit, but maintaining momentum until he returns to campus may be difficult. Sanders will take an official visit to Nebraska this weekend, followed by visits to Clemson (May 31), Georgia (June 7), Tennessee (June 14) and Ala. Bama State (June 18) for an official visit before returning to Ohio State on June 21.
Birmingham: the facts
But at the risk of sounding like a home run, the Buckeyes had a legitimate shot at getting a commitment from Sanders before his latest unofficial visit to Ohio State. So it happened because his and his family’s visit in late March went well. What this last trip really did was open the eyes of everyone else who believed the Buckeyes had no real chance. The people of Columbus have been firmly in talks with the five-star offensive tackle since March, and a callback in early May only confirmed that belief.
Ohio State knows there’s still work to be done — Tennessee, South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia and Alabama are all strong for different reasons — but the Buckeyes will be On the weekend of the 21st for what is presumed to be a final official visit, it looks like Ryan DayThe program is definitely a real contender.

2. LSU will win a national championship in the Brian Kelly era.
Friedman: Novel
History is against my answer, but Brian Kelly If he doesn’t change his stance on NIL and transfer portal recruitment, it will prove me right. Former three coaches at Louisiana State University (Ed Orgeron, myers and Nick Saban) won a national championship, Kelly can add his name to that list, but his program needs to become more aggressive in recruiting transfer prospects. Of course, the foundation of any highly successful college football program is recruiting and developing high school seniors, but they need to supplement high-end transfers to fill the holes on the roster. If Kelly’s stance doesn’t change, the Tigers will find it more difficult to win a national championship under him.
Powell: Facts
Kelly is the No. 1 figure in the coaching staff, and while some consider his personality to be a little eccentric and a little weird depending on who you ask, ultimately, he is assembling one of the best rosters in college football and continues to recruit players at the elite level level. There’s a good chance LSU will finish 2025 ranked No. 1 overall in the country, and let’s be honest, this is a program with a long history. The tournament has become the gold standard in Baton Rouge. Kelly has been in big games before, which is what brought him to LSU. He’s still young and time is on his side. If we were to set Brian Kelly’s over/under for the LSU tournament at 0.5, I’d live with that all day.

3. After the rankings are updated, Matt Zollers will be among the top 10 quarterbacks in Rivals250.
Freeman: Facts
Sunday was the second time I’ve seen Zollers pitch this offseason, and he continues to impress. After putting up stellar numbers during his junior season and showing off his athleticism during basketball season, Zollers showed off the passing ability of a highly ranked quarterback. There is no doubt that he will be included in the Rivals250 during the upcoming ranking refresh period, and there is a good chance that he will be one of the 10 highest-ranked quarterbacks.
Williams: Facts
Matt Zollers had an impressive junior season. What’s most striking about his numbers is his efficiency — 37 touchdowns to just two interceptions, which is outstanding — and Zollers has shown that in a variety of training camp settings this offseason. Arm talent. He recently impressed at Under Armor training camp in New Jersey, and a strong performance in the Elite 11 regionals later this month will solidify his status as the top quarterback in this year’s class.
