A fast-moving fire near Lake Elsinore on Thursday forced the evacuation of dozens of homes and burned more than 130 acres, according to Cal Fire.

A Searchable map Information provided by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection shows structures affected by the order. Cal Fire said an evacuation center was set up at Elsinore High School, 21800 Wilderness Canyon Drive, for people fleeing their homes.
As of 9 p.m. Thursday, 200 firefighters were battling the blaze, which had 0% containment. The fire closed Highway 74 from Grand Avenue to the Orange County line and Grand Avenue from Machado Street to Maiden Lane.
OnScene.TV video showed flames blazing down a hillside not far from the house. Planes and helicopters dropped fire retardant.
“We have a fire here,” resident Michelle Mattson said as flames spread along the hillside behind her. “It breaks the ridge right here, and there are houses on the other side of the ridge.”
