The FBI and state police raided the upstate New York home of former United Nations weapons inspector Scott Ritter on Wednesday, Fox News Digital confirmed.
FBI agents and state troopers were seen entering Ritter’s Delmar home Wednesday afternoon.
The cause of the attack was unclear. It was unclear whether Ritter, who has faced legal trouble in the past, was home at the time.
“I can confirm that FBI personnel are at the home in Dover [Drive] An FBI spokesperson in Albany told Fox News Digital that there is ongoing FBI-related law enforcement activity. [Department of Justice] Policy prevents me from commenting further.

The raid came a day after Ritter posted a photo of himself dining with independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“Having burgers with Bobby!” the caption said.
In June, Ritter said on Andrew Napolitano’s podcast that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recently confiscated his passport as he was about to board a flight to Russia.
Ritter said U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents told him the State Department ordered them to seize his passport, but gave no further explanation.
Ritter served as the chief United Nations weapons inspector in Iraq from 1991 to 1998 and was convicted in 2011 of sex crimes involving underage girls.

This is the second time in less than a decade that Ritter has been accused of trying to lure an underage girl into engaging in illegal sex. In 2001, he was entraped by police after authorities said he tried to seduce a Colonie, New York, police officer by posing as a 16-year-old girl.
The charges were eventually dismissed and the case sealed.
