The last remaining American pair, defending world champions Sarah Hughes and Kelly Cheng, lost 2-0 (21-18, 21-19) to Switzerland in the quarterfinals on Tuesday in Paris. Nina Brenner and Tanya Huberli.
The results came just a day after the American pair of Taryn Cross and Christian Nuss lost to the Canadian pair in the round of 16.

In the other women’s quarterfinals of the day, Australian players Mariaf Atajo del Solar and Taliqua Clancy defeated 2-1 (21-19, 16-21, 15 – 12) Defeated Swiss players Zoe Vige-Depree and Esme Bobner.
Sweden and Germany swept the men’s teams 2-0 in Tuesday’s quarterfinals.
Sweden’s David Amann and Jonatan Helvig defeated Brazil’s Evandro Goncalves Oliveira Junior and Arthur 21-17, 21-16 ·Diego Mariano Ranch. The German pair Niels Ehlers/Clemens Wikler defeated the Dutch pair Stefan Bormans/Yorik de Groot 22-20, 21-15.
The last remaining American men’s pair, Myles Pattan and Andrew Benesh, will face Qatar’s Sharif Yunus and Ahmed Tijan in Wednesday’s quarterfinals.
