Former President Trump introduced a Georgia activist who stole the show at a rally in Atlanta on Saturday.
Trump invited Mikayla Montgomery to the stage at the end of his speech at the Georgia State University Conference Center. He introduced Montgomery, explaining that he met her at a restaurant this year.
Trump said Montgomery, who attends Clark Atlanta University, recognized him in public and praised him for funding historically black colleges and universities.
“She looked at me and said ‘This is President Trump. You saved my college.'” I said, “How the hell do you know that?” … This guy is so smart, so perceptive,” Trump recalled.

“She grabbed me. She kissed me,” he added. “I said, ‘I don’t think I’ll ever go back to the first lady.'”
“You should keep quiet,” Montgomery laughed.
The former president praised Montgomery, describing her as “incredible” with a “huge future” and telling her he would do whatever I could to help you before letting her take the podium.
“I do want to add to some of what others have said,” the conservative activist began. “We really need to do our best to get the message out. There’s no point fighting if all we do is talk about it among ourselves.”
Montgomery added that she is the founder of an organization called Preserving Culture, which helps “mobilize students at HBCUs so they can access this culture.” [conservative] message.”

“No one needs this information more than my family, so do you really care?” Montgomery told the cheering audience. “Are you really with us?
“I’m going to give it back to the big T.”
The rally came days after Trump faced criticism from the White House for comments he made about Vice President Kamala Harris’ racial identity at the recent National Association of Black Journalists convention.
“She’s always had Indian ancestry, and she was just promoting Indian ancestry,” Trump said. “I didn’t know she was black until a few years ago when she happened to be black. Now she wants to be called black. So, I don’t know if she’s Indian or black?”
On Wednesday, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson praised Trump for “answering tough questions” at the meeting.
“I applaud my friend @realdonaldtrump for answering tough questions today in a hostile environment at @NABJ,” Carson said in a post on X.
