Top Rank’s Bob Arum says Tyson Fury could fight Alexander Usyk and Anthony Joshua twice.
Fury takes on Usyk on Saturday’s Ultimate Match, live sky sports box officeas they competed for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world.
Fury has reached an agreement to fight Usyk for a second time, with a rematch expected later this year.
That would leave their closest rival Anthony Joshua waiting for the winner. But Top Rank’s Bob Arum, who co-promotes Fury, is still eager for him to fight AJ.
Arum explains his vision for Fury’s future. “There’s a rematch [with Usyk] So we’re going to have a rematch and if all goes well and the boxing gods shine on us, we’re going to have a couple of fights with Anthony Joshua,” he told sky sports.
Joshua’s new trainer Ben Davison has previously worked with Fury, having recently overseen his stylish wins over Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou.
“Everyone is eager to see Fury and Joshua fight,” he admitted.
“I have a great relationship with Tyson and now I have a great relationship with Anthony Joshua and I’m very committed to him.”
Davidson also believes he can lead Joshua to victory in his third fight against Alexander Usyk.
“A lot of people are talking about a third fight between Usyk and Joshua, and that’s because they can now see AJ’s path to victory,” Davidson said.
“I’m very confident that we can get him ready for a win in Game 3 against Usyk. I’m very confident in that, so that’s what we’re really hungry for.”
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn believes Fury and Joshua will eventually fight. “If Tyson Fury wins on Saturday, I’m sure the whole world will be calling for this fight,” he told reporters. sky sports news.
“This is a completely different Anthony Joshua,” Hearn continued. “He’s a different guy, tactically he’s happy with what he’s doing.
“We want to prove that [Fury vs Usyk] Winner, but we’ll see what happens on Saturday.
Hearn insists Joshua can still become the undisputed champion himself.
“I believe we’re still going to have it. I do believe Anthony Joshua will be undisputed,” he declared.
“You can say I was cheated, but he’s in great shape now. He wants a chance against those two.
“But now it’s their time. They’ve earned that right and on Saturday you’re going to see a newly crowned undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.”
