Video shows an alligator in Georgia being “captured” and loaded into a police car after making an unwelcome appearance in a resident’s driveway.
The Chatham County Police Department posted video of the alligator’s “capture” in a Facebook post on May 25.
“Our Corporal Blackledge and Corporal Stapleton took action when an uninvited visitor showed up on the block on Thursday night,” police said in a Facebook post.
“Watch them capture the alligator, stuff it in the back of a patrol car, and release it back into the wild.”

Body camera footage shows police tapping the alligator’s mouth and restraining the reptile before loading it into the back of a police car. The reptile was later released into the wild.
Residents were delighted with the footage, with many writing interesting comments.
“Have you read his rights?” one person joked.

“Poor crocodile. I also sat behind one of the explorers,” another quipped.
Other locals praised the police for their courage during the altercation with the crocodile.
