North Carolina added Georgia Tech transfer Tyzhaun Claude on Wednesday, days after the forward received news that he had been granted waivers to play in the 2024-25 season.
The Tar Heels will be Crowder’s fourth different team. Crowder’s eligibility expires this season.
Crowder entered the transfer portal on April 1 but is awaiting word from the NCAA on waivers. Georgetown is also reportedly pursuing Crowder, who averaged 4.8 points and 5.2 rebounds in 32 games (four starts) for the Yellow Jackets in the 2023-24 season.
Crowder averaged 9.3 in 102 career games (51 starts) at Morehead State (2019-22), Western Carolina (2022-23) and Georgia Tech (2023-24) points and 6.3 rebounds. He missed the 2020-21 season with an ACL injury.
