The Harris campaign responded to Trump’s attempt to withdraw the presumptive Democratic nominee from the debate, saying the former president was holed up at Mar-a-Lago.
The Harris campaign responded to Trump’s refusal to agree to participate in a debate with Harris once she was officially nominated:
“I call for debate wherever and whenever possible!”
That was Donald Trump on May 6th.
After months of calling for debates, Trump agreed to hold two debates days later. The next show is scheduled for September 10 in New York City on ABC News.
But now, Trump is out.
Cancel.
withdraw.
Refuse to participate.
Hide away at Mar-a-Lago.
Not so Vice President Harris. Yesterday, referring to the September debate that Trump has agreed to, she said: “I’m ready.” Let’s go.
Vice President Harris does more in a day than former President Trump did in a week. Hang out at Mar-a-Lago and Holding fake cabinet meetings is not campaigning.
Republicans will finally realize they have a real problem. Their 78-year-old nominee only leaves home once or twice a week. Trump is still acting as if he won this election, but the polls have shifted in his favor.
In another week or less, Donald Trump could lose this election.
After the Democratic National Convention, he’s likely to solidify his support.
Now is the time for Republicans to come out and define Vice President Harris, and their nominee should lead the charge. Instead, Trump played golf at home and pretended to be president.
Trump is afraid to debate Harris Because he doesn’t want to be exposed by young politicians on stage. It’s why he refused to debate Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis during the Republican presidential primaries.
The election has turned. Now it’s about Donald Trump, who seems too scared to agree to a debate or two with Kamala Harris.
